Prostate Specific Antigen, Total (PSA)

The PSA test measures a substance in the blood called PSA that comes mostly from the prostate gland. Men who have prostate cancer, a larger than normal prostate, or swelling and infection in their prostate might have higher amounts of PSA in their blood.
