Insulin is a special substance in our bodies that helps control how much sugar is in our blood. Doctors use a test to measure how much insulin we have to check if someone has diabetes, which is when the body has trouble managing sugar levels. This test can also find out if someone’s body is making too much insulin because of other health problems.
